i have a completely old screen so i cant actually see the patterns and had to use a mate to tell me how much he could see so the pattern on the bg should show for most people and i hope its not too bright lol :P.

Yeah, monitors are expensive.
I think their one of the more expensive parts of a computer.

Background is okay. But things are cramped. No one has a website this small (imagine what this would look like on a person's screen if they had 1280x1024), so that's a big possible improvement. But I'm only trying to help. I think the font usage and placement could've been better. But it does look really good, nonetheless.
